The semi-finalists of the competition are enrolled in the Business Entrepreneurship Skills Program (BEST), which teaches teamwork, decision-making, business modeling, and business planning.
The three teams selected from the first National Young Entrepreneurship Challenge participated in the Global Young Entrepreneurship Challenge 2017, competing with 13 teams from Asia, Europe, and the Americas, writing a brand new business project in 12 hours and introducing a 3D model of their business product. It was the first time that Mongolian high school students had successfully participated in a global entrepreneurship competition. In 2019, the youth team that prepared for the Global Young Entrepreneurship Challenge in 2017 successfully competed with teams from more than 20 countries, including Canada, Japan, and Brazil, and was awarded 4th place. Save the Children is currently implementing a project called Entrepreneurship-focused socio-emotional skills for the most vulnerable youth in rural Mongolia.
