Save the Children was founded in 1919 after WWI by Eglantyne Jebb, a courageous advocate for children’s welfare. She drafted the Geneva Declaration on the Rights of Child that was adopted by the League of Nations in 1924 and her pioneer work helped shape the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of Child, now the most widely ratified international human rights treaty in history.
We work in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city, and seven aimags (provinces), to deliver the benefits of our programs to children in Mongolia. In 2019, more than 32,000 children received direct benefits from our actions.
Save the Children strives to build a responsible society in which every child enjoys their rights without discrimination. It is our pleasure to invite you to join us in our mission to make a positive and sustainable impact on children's lives.
