VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT
The Ministry of Education and Science (MES) along with Save the Children is implementing a grant project “Enabling Equity to Advance Learning” (EQUAL), funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). This multi-stakeholder partnership organization aims to strengthen education systems in developing countries.
The EQUAL project’s objective is to improve access and quality of learning through inclusive approaches in Mongolia. The project will have three components: 1) Inclusive Education; 2) School Feeding; and 3) Blended Education. Save the Children will be working as the Grant Agent (GA) for the EQUAL project throughout its implementation.
We are immediately hiring the following positions for the Project Implementation Unit of EQUAL (3 years). They present excellent opportunities for the incumbents to contribute to the further enhancement of the education sector in Mongolia. The Administration and Procurement officer will undertake a variety of office support tasks, working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion, incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results, and managing procurement activities including recruitment of consultants in accordance with GPE regulations and relevant laws and procedures in Mongolia.

The Finance officer will provide support to project staff at PIU on the financial aspects of conducting the project activities, procurement in compliance with GPE requirements, grant manual, and relevant policies, and Mongolian government rules, procedures. S/he will take overall responsibilities for planning, organizing, executing and reporting on all financial transactions of the project and will act as key personnel to ensure safeguarding against ineligible expenditures.
